Paediatric Occupational Therapy
At the heart of our approach is the understanding that “kids do well when they can.” – Dr Ross Greene. When a child is struggling, it is often because something in their development, environment, or nervous system is making participation difficult. Our role is to understand these challenges and work alongside children and their families to support meaningful progress.
We believe that connection comes before co-regulation and learning. By building trusting relationships and creating a sense of safety, we support children to regulate their emotions, engage in activities, and develop new skills.
Our therapists approach their work with curiosity, compassion, and deep clinical insight, taking the time to understand the whole child — including their strengths, interests, environment, and nervous system. Our practice is grounded in a holistic and neuroaffirming perspective, recognising that behaviour and participation are influenced by sensory processing, regulation, executive functioning, and the demands placed on a child’s system.
We work collaboratively with families, teachers, and support teams to develop strategies that support children across their everyday environments. Through a calm, thoughtful, and purposeful approach, we help children build the skills, confidence, and sense of belonging needed to thrive in their daily lives.
Our Occupational Therapy services are supported by NDIS. Find out more on how to claim our services via the NDIS here.

What Does Therapy Look Like?
Therapy sessions are child-led and play-based, recognising that children learn best when they feel safe, engaged, and interested in what they are doing.
We empower children with choice and control during therapy sessions, allowing them to take an active role in activities and supporting a sense of confidence and autonomy.
Sessions often include games, creative tasks, movement activities, and obstacle courses that support skill development in a fun and meaningful way.
We build on activities that the child naturally chooses during sessions, helping them feel comfortable while gently supporting new skills and challenges.
We are developing a sensory gym to support children’s sensory and movement needs, providing opportunities to explore regulation, coordination, and body awareness through engaging sensory activities.
Our approach allows children to feel safe, motivated, and supported while developing the skills needed to participate more confidently in everyday life.
