Speech Pathology

Our Speech Pathology services can help overcome speech and language impediments to leave you feeling confident and empowered in your communication. Speech Pathologists assess, diagnose, and treat speech, listening and communication concerns, as well as provide assistance with mealtime difficulties that can include eating, drinking and swallowing. Speech Pathologists also specialise in the assessment and prescription of augmentative and alternative communication systems.

At Living Dreams Disability Services, we focus on a positive and customised approach to Speech Pathology, ensuring you feel valued and your goals are met.

We help our clients understand and use language effectively, communicate and regulate their feelings, and reduce difficult behaviours that may have to do with communication barriers. They can assist their clients with many forms of speech therapy to speak clearly enough to be understood by others, enunciate sounds clearly, and pronounce words correctly so others can understand them.

Our speech pathologist will conduct a thorough assessment to gain a clear understanding of the difficulties that our client (7 or older) is having with their speech or communication skills.

They will then create a treatment plan that includes short- and long-term goals to help our client’s progress. The strategies they may use will be vast and varied as we approach each client individually, ensuring a targeted approach to care. We work closely together with parents, caregivers and, where appropriate, schools or childcare settings to ensure everyone works together..

Our Speech Pathology services are supported by NDIS. Find out how to claim via the NDIS here.
